The DPCA shall look into complaints made against the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP) and shall take cognizance of any allegation of serious misconduct by the police of the following nature:

• Death in police custody.

• Rape in police custody.

• Grievous hurt in police custody
